At precisely 6:66 this morning, Sandbox O. Blog suffered a fatal hate attack. Emergency responders were unable to remove the bile from Mr. Blog’s throat, and Sandbox died gasping on a toxic mixture of rumor, statistics and snark. Barely over a year old, the Sandbox leaves behind 225 convoluted posts and 1,907 orphaned comments.
Mourners expressed a mixture of grief and relief. “He was a good blog – but don’t quote me on that,” said Anon E. Mouse.
“Oh where, where will I go to anonymously complain, now?” wailed Nancy Negative.
The 289 sent out this official release:
“While we mourn the passing of the Sandbox, we feel it had outlived its purpose (whatever that was). Now get back to work, everyone!”
Blogicide investigators have deemed the death “suspicious,” and are searching for a “person of interest” who may have fled to Atlantis City .
